Stepped Platforms - Project 4

The brief required an imaginative approach to a very steep garden, separating the garden into distinct zones.

The challenge was to create usable spaces within the garden, whilst still maintaining the dramatic views.

Construction is proposed to be undertaken in three phases, starting with phase 1 at the top of the garden, adjacent to the rear of the house.
Contemporary materials are proposed, combining smooth hardwood platforms, rendered ‘sitting’ walls, cascading pools, glass panels and steel gabions.
